This Guest Service Agent/Relief Duty Manager is a full time position to work under the Front Office department and reporting to the Front Office Manager. This position is mainly Guest Services Agent with various shifts of Duty Manager as per business needs. A full-time team member must have open availability without any restrictions. The working hours will vary from weekdays, weekends, and holidays (morning, mid, and evenings shifts).

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

Ensure a memorable experience for our arriving and departing guests while upholding Hilton Values and Brand Standards
Maintain a balanced float assigned by the hotel and reconciling all transactions at the close of each shift
Act as a concierge; assisting guests in all inquiries and accommodating special requests whenever possible
Answer all telephone inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names when possible
Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations staff.
Complete shift checklist and pass-on important information
Assist guests with luggage when entering and departing the hotel
All MOD duties: carrying radio; responding to emergency situations and supporting all front office team members
Provides supervision for team members of the Front Office team
Embraces Hilton initiatives and brand requirements and work with FOM to ensure consistency of policies and programs
Supports other departments when needed other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous hotel front office experience is an asset
Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience is preferred, or equivalent
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organization skills and able to multi-task
Self-starter and takes initiative, a team player
Previous experience with a property management system an asset
Hospitality diploma or post-secondary degree preferred
Strong guest service & problem resolution skills
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Strong computer skills & working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to lift heavy luggage
Strong organizational skills and able to handle a large volume of phone calls and guest arrivals
Desire to work in a team based environment
