Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer to join our steel fabrication company. If you have a passion for 3D modeling and want to work on exciting, diverse structural projects, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Create highly accurate 3D models of structural steel and miscellaneous metals using Tekla Structures.
Generate detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection plans, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Identify and resolve design conflicts or interferences (clash detection) before fabrication begins.
Interpret structural drawings, architectural designs (IFC), and project specifications.
Write and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify missing or conflicting design data.
Produce CNC data (NC/DXF files) to support our automated fabrication equipment.
Ensure all models and drawings comply with AISC, NISD, and company standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience using Tekla Structures is required.
Advanced, hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD or Bluebeam is a plus.
Strong blueprint reading skills, spatial comprehension, and a solid understanding of connection design.
Strong attention to detail with high mathematical and geometric accuracy.
Ability to collaborate professionally with project managers, engineers, and fabricators.

Schedule

Monday-Friday
7am-5:30pm
Weekly pay
Overtime after 44 hours in a week

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
