We are looking for a Technical Service Representative to join our Agricultural Solutions team in the Prairie Provinces.

Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager, the Technical Service Representative is responsible for the execution of summer demand creation activities including large scale grower trials and demonstration sites within the region. They are responsible for providing supportive data to meet sales objectives and address product usage questions. In addition, they are accountable for providing technical training to the sales force and key influencers within the region. This includes training the sales representatives on investigative field techniques and technical support with product inquiries where necessary.

As a Technical Service Representative - NE Saskatchewan Canada, you create chemistry by...

Executing and managing all Demand Creation trials and activities, including operating and maintaining spraying and harvest equipment
Supervising Technical Agronomy Interns supporting summer demand-creation activities and large-scale grower-applied trial data collection
Coordinating third-party research and managing relationships with demo-site partners
Monitoring and engaging key centers of influence (universities, consultants, provincial extension staff, and retail agronomists) through relationship building and regular contact
Transferring technical information by developing and delivering presentations to external and internal audiences using a variety of presentation toolstraining and reinforcing product positioning with the sales team
Supporting sales team members and a defined list of external customers within the region to ensure alignment of marketing, sales, and technical positionsusing field and university research data to develop tools that support marketing and sales tactics
Influencing stakeholders within the job area by clearly explaining technical facts and recommendations

If you have...

M.Sc in Agriculture/Biology with emphasis on crop science, weed science, agronomy, entomology, plant pathology or related discipline with 1.5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Candidates with a B.Sc and a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in sales, research or related functions will also be considered.
Experience in the Agriculture industry, working with and understanding growers and retail customers.
Strong collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority.
Strong interpersonal communication skills combined with a passion for making a positive difference in the agriculture industry.
An ability to self-manage time, resources and energy appropriately.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and web-based applications.
CCSC (or willing to obtain) is mandatory. Willingness to achieve P.Ag, or CCA.
Ability to travel overnight on an as needed basis.
A valid driver’s license.
