Commercial Cleaning Company – Scarborough

We are a growing commercial cleaning company looking for a reliable, organized, and energetic Office Administrator / Cleaning Operations Coordinator to join our team.

This is an important role in our company. You will help keep our cleaning operations running smoothly, recruit and coordinate cleaners, communicate with customers and cleaners, and handle day-to-day administrative work.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, and onboard new cleaners

Post job advertisements and respond to applicants

Contact candidates and arrange interviews

Coordinate cleaner schedules and assign staff to cleaning locations

Find replacement cleaners when someone calls in sick or is unavailable

Communicate with cleaners regarding schedules, attendance, and job requirements

Communicate with customers and respond to service requests

Handle phone calls, emails, and general office administration

Maintain employee and client records

Track attendance, schedules, and hours worked

Follow up with cleaners to make sure jobs are completed properly

Help resolve employee and customer issues

Prepare basic reports, documents, and invoices as required

Perform other administrative and operational duties as needed

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time

A strong communicator with good phone and email skills

Comfortable recruiting and speaking with people

Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently

Good at solving problems quickly

Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and scheduling software

Detail-oriented and able to follow up without being reminded

Previous office administration, staffing, scheduling, property management, hospitality, or cleaning-industry experience is an asset

Cleaning industry experience is an asset, but not required.

Important

This is a fast-paced position. Our ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership, stay organized, and handle last-minute changes calmly.

You must be comfortable communicating with both cleaning staff and commercial clients.
