Full job description

Horse Thief Vineyards and Summit Airport Parking are seeking an Administrative Coordinator & Retail Assistant to join our team.

This is a 2 year, junior-level position designed for someone who has completed post-secondary education in business administration or a relevant degree within the last 12 months and is looking to build a long-term career in alignment with the Nova Scotia Graduate to Opportunity program.

Working across two growing businesses, you'll gain hands-on experience in office administration, accounting support, customer service, retail sales, and daily operations. Every day will be different, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and isn't afraid to jump in and learn.

Training will be provided, and there will be opportunities for growth and advancement as both businesses continue to expand.

Hours

August–November 1: Tuesday–Saturday
November–April: Monday–Friday
Full-time position

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $40,000–$47,500
Two weeks of paid vacation

Responsibilities

Provide general administrative support to both businesses
Answer phones, emails, and customer inquiries
Assist with bookkeeping and accounting tasks
Process invoices and maintain accurate records
Reconcile cash and daily sales transactions
Perform data entry and maintain filing systems
Support retail sales and customer service
Process point-of-sale transactions
Assist with inventory and merchandise displays
Support events and special projects
Complete other administrative and operational duties as required

Qualifications

Required:

Diploma or certificate in Business Administration or a related field
Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping principles
Experience in an office, retail, or customer service environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Considered an Asset:

Experience with bookkeeping or accounting software
Retail sales experience
Hospitality or tourism experience
An interest in wine and the Nova Scotia wine industry
