Overview

Select Electrical Enterprises Ltd. is currently looking for a full time estimator at our Stony Plain, AB location. We specialize in electrical manufacturing for VFD's / automation / switchgear / switchboards and MCC's.

We are looking for a team player to grow with our business.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope.
Review project plans and specifications thoroughly to identify potential risks, opportunities for cost savings, and scope clarifications.
Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets.
Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines with precision and professionalism.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid documents, and correspondence for future reference and audits.

Skills

Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and industry standards.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
Experience in project management principles to coordinate estimating activities within larger project teams.
Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup collaboration.
Effective communication skills to clearly present estimates and collaborate with existing team members.
