Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer service while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Experience

Previous food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new hires
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in serving, cashiering, or kitchen work is beneficial for understanding restaurant operations
