Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, medication management, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting diverse patient populations with compassion and professionalism. The Staff Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies and contribute to positive health outcomes.

Duties

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards.
Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding medication selection, interactions, and proper administration.
Offer direct patient care by counseling patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy plans in collaboration with medical staff as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate pharmacy records, including medication inventories and patient profiles.
Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Educate patients on health topics related to medications and promote wellness initiatives within the community.
Stay current with new pharmaceutical developments, medical terminology, and best practices in acute care and pediatrics.

Experience

Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Prior experience working in the pharmacy or with HealthWatch is an asset.
Speaking Bengali is an asset.

This role requires a licensed pharmacist committed to delivering high-quality care while adhering to safety standards and regulatory guidelines. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient service.

Flexible working hours - open to both full time or part time position.

Requires working some morning, some nights and a mixture of weekdays and weekends

***Must be Registered with OCP as a Pharmacist***

Pay: $50.75-$60.00 per hour
