Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Fire Alarm Technician and become a vital part of ensuring safety and security across commercial and industrial facilities. In this energetic role, you will install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems to guarantee they operate flawlessly in emergency situations. Your mechanical aptitude, electrical expertise, and attention to detail will help protect lives and property while advancing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications, ensuring precise placement of sensors, control panels, and wiring.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot electrical issues, sensor malfunctions, or system failures using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret detailed schematics and blueprints to accurately wire and configure complex fire alarm components.
Test system components such as sensors, control panels, power supplies, and notification devices to verify proper operation.
Document all inspections, repairs, modifications, and system updates thoroughly for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into the overall project.

Experience

Proven experience working with fire alarm systems or in related construction or electrical fields.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to fire detection systems.
Electrical experience with wiring low-voltage systems safely and efficiently.
Mechanical knowledge of sensors, control panels, power supplies, and other fire alarm components.
Familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools like drills; and testing equipment for system diagnostics.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols.
Prior experience working in construction environments or with low-voltage electrical systems is highly desirable.
