We are headquartered in Thunder Bay with current site operations in Greenstone and along the northern shore of Lake Superior.

Job Description

Superior Resources is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Business Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our growing organization. This position plays a key role in supporting business operations through office administration, bookkeeping coordination, financial reporting, communications and project support. The Business Coordinator helps ensure the efficient execution of daily operations across multiple concurrent projects. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgement, and possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administration & Operations

· Provide administrative support to senior leadership and operational teams.

· Coordinate day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.

· Manage incoming correspondence, email inquiries, and general communications.

· Coordinate meetings, schedules and internal communications as required.

Accounting & Financial Support

· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Administer semi-monthly vendor payments.

· Create and issue client invoices.

· Support accounting and financial operations, including data entry and budget tracking.

· Prepare standardized monthly as well as ad-hoc financial reports.

Business Development & Communication

· Research, prepare and submit grant funding applications.

· Prepare and distribute business correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.

· Coordinate with leadership and field staff on business initiatives.

· Represent the company at industry events, and recruitment activities.

· Oversee the company website, LinkedIn page and other social media channels.

Requirements and Skills

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

· Experience in bookkeeping, invoicing and financial reporting.

· Strong knowledge of basic accounting software – Xero preferred.

· Ability to create concise summaries and accurate reports.

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Ability to prioritize multiple competing deadlines.

· Highly adaptable in a dynamic work environment.

· A team player who is also able to work independently.

· Understanding of the natural resource management sector is considered an asset.

Work Location

This position is based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, with occasional day and overnight travel required to support company operations and events. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm daily.
