Role: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Timmins, On

Salary: $29-$33

Summary

Coordinate daily yard and fleet operations, including equipment scheduling, maintenance, inventory, shipping/receiving, and dispatch support. Ensure fleet readiness, oversee yard organization and safety, supervise yard staff, and work closely with Operations to keep equipment and resources available for daily operations. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills are essential.

Fleet and Equipment

Coordinate the delivery of trucks to local repair shops.
Maintain and inspect double self-contained washroom units.
Conduct and maintain roll-off bin and front-end bin inventory counts.
Maintain fleet readiness and equipment availability.

Yard Operations

Organize and maintain the yard for safe and efficient operations.
Receive and inspect incoming equipment and materials.
Prepare equipment for deployment to job sites.
Maintain an accurate inventory of yard equipment.
Coordinate the loading of trucks, including cardboard shipments.
Ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for use.
Maintain overall housekeeping and organization throughout the yard.

Supervision

Assign daily tasks to yard personnel. Back shop.
Coordinate daily activities with Operations Management.
Train new employees on yard procedures and safe work practices.

Health and Safety

Enforce company health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular yard safety inspections.
Ensure hazardous materials and waste are stored properly.
Report and assist with the investigation of incidents and near misses.

Equipment inspections and maintenance coordination
Logistics and dispatch support
Shipping, receiving, and customer deliveries
Fleet readiness and yard organization

Allocation of Duties and Responsibilities

Logistics/Yard Coordinator

Maintain fleet readiness and equipment availability.
Schedule maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Organize and maintain the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
Coordinate customer deliveries, pickups, and service requests.
Support Operations Management with equipment planning and logistics.
Ensure all required inspections and documentation are completed and maintained.

The Logistics/Yard Coordinator serves as the primary link between Operation Manager Branch Manager, dispatch, Supervisor to ensure equipment and resources are available to support daily operations.
