The Network Security Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments. This role combines network engineering, systems administration, and cybersecurity to ensure the availability, performance, and security of critical business systems. Working closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams, the Network Security Engineer will implement security controls, support high-security server environments, troubleshoot complex networking issues, and contribute to continuous improvements in the organization's security posture.
Level II Security Clearance Required
- Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, DNS, and DHCP services.

Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Manage the lifecycle of TLS/SSL certificates, including deployment, renewal, troubleshooting, and compliance.

Configure, support, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN solutions, and secure remote access technologies.
-
Implement and support F5 load balancers to ensure application availability and performance.
-
Support high-security server environments by applying security hardening standards, maintaining secure configurations, and ensuring compliance with organizational security requirements.

Perform network troubleshooting using packet captures, network traces, DNS diagnostics, and connectivity analysis to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Support routing, switching, gateway configurations, and network segmentation initiatives across enterprise environments.

Implement, administer, and support web proxy technologies to provide secure internet access and enforce organizational security policies.

Administer and maintain endpoint and infrastructure security technologies, including Microsoft Defender, McAfee Antivirus, Tenable, or equivalent vulnerability management solutions.

Monitor and coordinate vulnerability remediation activities in collaboration with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Operations teams.

Support change management, incident management, and operational support activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.

Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, security standards, and implementation guides.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure network and infrastructure solutions while supporting audit and compliance initiatives.

Participate in Tier 2/Tier 3 operational support, troubleshooting escalated infrastructure and network-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and network security environments.

Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Administration, DNS, and DHCP.

Experience implementing and supporting F5 load balancers, enterprise firewalls, VPN technologies, and web proxy solutions.

Experience managing TLS/SSL certificates and secure communications.

Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, network segmentation, and enterprise networking concepts.

Experience performing network analysis, packet captures, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues.

Experience supporting Microsoft Defender, McAfee Antivirus, Tenable, or similar security and vulnerability management platforms.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise security best practices.

Working knowledge of ITIL service management principles.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Security+, CISSP, F5 Certified Administrator, or equivalent are considered an asset

Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week in Tiverton, Ontario.
