Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager for our Pastry & Coffee Shop to lead daily operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the pastry and coffee shop, ensuring exceptional food quality, outstanding customer service, and efficient team management. Your leadership will inspire a vibrant team dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy expertly crafted baked goods and beverages. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in food preparation, hospitality, and team supervision to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the pastry and coffee shop team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance
Oversee daily food preparation, baking, brewing, and serving processes to ensure quality standards are consistently met
Manage all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures in accordance with industry regulations
Personally deliver outstanding customer service and ensure that all staff members understand the importance of customer service
Coordinate inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimize operational efficiency
Train new staff through interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to develop skills in food service, customer engagement, and food industry best practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area to create an inviting environment for both staff and customers
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue while maintaining high standards of quality

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, baking, or barista work within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong supervisory skills with previous team management experience in food service or restaurant environments
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Effective communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
Leadership qualities that inspire motivation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Experience with restaurant management principles including inventory control, staff scheduling, and operational oversight
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards including bartending or hotel experience is a plus
