Event Bartender

Weekday afternoon/evening & weekend availability required

hourly rate plus gratuities

Responsibilities

(Bartender)

Promptly receive drink order chits and pour all beverages according to Ricarda’s standards
Ensure accuracy when making all beverage orders
Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
Present beverages in a clear and organized manner at the service bar pick up area
Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team members
Stock and maintain all bar products including mis en place
Check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels
Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering
Maintain a clean and organized bar area
Receive beer, wine and liquor orders on delivery dates
Wash, polish and arrange glasses in a neat and attractive display
Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies
Follow all food and beverage safety standards and systems
Ensuring all opening and closing duties are completed for the bar area
When not busy, assist with guests and servers in the dining area
Abide to Health & Safety policies and procedures as well as all food safety regulations and best practices
Other duties & functions as assigned by the Operations/Floor Manager – Events & Catering

Qualifications

Smart Serve certification
Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a high volume event environment
Good knowledge of food and beverage
Very flexible and able to adapt to changing environments and Management demands
Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional guest service
Flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays)
Must be able to stand/walk for 8+ hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
