We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities, support prospective customers, and help organizations identify suitable telecommunications and managed IT solutions.
Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative will connect with prospective and existing business customers by telephone, email, video meeting, professional networking platforms, and other approved channels.
You will research potential customers, conduct outbound prospecting, respond to inbound inquiries, qualify business requirements, prepare quotations, coordinate technical consultations, and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
This position combines business development, customer service, account coordination, and technology-sales support. The successful candidate will be comfortable starting professional conversations, asking thoughtful questions, explaining technical services in clear business language, and following opportunities through the sales process.
You do not need to be a network engineer. However, you should be interested in telecommunications, cloud services, networking, managed IT, and the ways these technologies help businesses operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Research and identify prospective business customers in Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, and other approved markets.
- Build targeted lists of companies and decision-makers.
- Contact business owners, office managers, operations leaders, IT managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through telephone calls, personalized emails, professional networking platforms, referrals, and approved campaigns.
- Respond promptly to inbound sales inquiries.
- Introduce prospective customers to NomoTech Canada’s telecommunications, managed IT, network, and cloud-connectivity services.
- Personalize outreach according to each company’s industry, size, technology environment, and potential requirements.
- Follow up consistently with interested prospects.
- Re-engage qualified prospects who were not previously ready to proceed.
- Develop a healthy pipeline of relevant B2B opportunities.
Customer Discovery and Qualification
- Conduct structured discovery conversations with prospective customers.
- Learn about the customer’s current internet, telephone, network, cloud, security, and IT-support environment.
- Identify challenges involving connectivity, outages, remote access, network performance, user support, security, or service reliability.
- Understand the customer’s number of users, locations, existing providers, business priorities, and planned changes.
- Determine whether the customer may benefit from managed IT, network support, cloud connectivity, VoIP, security, or related services.
- Clarify project timing, stakeholders, decision-making processes, and operational requirements.
- Assess whether an opportunity fits the company’s service capabilities.
- Document customer requirements clearly for technical and management review.
- Schedule qualified consultations, demonstrations, or technical-assessment meetings.
Solution Presentation and Sales Support
- Explain the company’s services in clear, practical, and business-focused language.
- Help customers understand the benefits of reliable connectivity, managed support, cloud access, network monitoring, and communications solutions.
- Present appropriate service options based on the customer’s identified requirements.
- Coordinate with network, cloud, technical-support, and service-delivery teams when specialized input is required.
- Arrange remote or in-person solution-review meetings.
- Assist with preparing service summaries, quotations, presentations, and proposals.
- Verify that proposed services accurately reflect the customer’s requirements.
- Answer initial questions about service features, implementation, support, and onboarding.
- Communicate technical limitations, assumptions, and dependencies accurately.
- Avoid making unsupported promises regarding coverage, implementation dates, performance, or technical capabilities.
Quotation and Order Coordination
- Gather the information required to prepare accurate quotations.
- Confirm service location, technical requirements, quantities, equipment needs, contract details, and requested timelines.
- Coordinate pricing and solution details with authorized internal personnel and service providers.
- Prepare or support the preparation of quotations and customer-facing documents.
- Review documentation for accuracy before it is sent.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and proposals.
- Record requested changes and obtain the required internal approvals.
- Support order processing after customer acceptance.
- Coordinate customer information with provisioning, implementation, billing, and technical teams.
- Help ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to service delivery.
CRM and Pipeline Management
- Enter and maintain accurate prospect, customer, activity, and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Record calls, emails, meetings, requirements, objections, quotations, and next steps.
- Maintain complete and current account records.
- Schedule follow-up tasks and ensure that commitments are completed.
- Move opportunities through the correct sales stages.
- Maintain realistic expected timelines and opportunity values.
- Identify stalled opportunities and determine appropriate follow-up actions.
- Prepare regular activity, pipeline, and sales-progress reports.
- Monitor indicators such as calls, conversations, qualified opportunities, quotations, follow-ups, and completed sales.
- Maintain strong data quality and CRM discipline.
- Protect confidential customer, pricing, and business information.
Existing Customer and Account Support
- Assist existing customers with service questions, renewals, additional-location needs, and account updates.
- Identify relevant opportunities for service expansion.
- Coordinate customer requests with technical, billing, provisioning, and account-management teams.
- Support recurring account reviews and service discussions.
- Follow up after implementation to confirm that the customer has received the expected information.
- Help address minor commercial or administrative concerns.
- Escalate technical or service issues to the appropriate team.
- Maintain professional relationships that support customer satisfaction and retention.
- Recommend additional services only when they provide a reasonable benefit to the customer.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with technical specialists, account managers, service coordinators, marketing personnel, and management.
- Share customer requirements and sales information accurately.
- Participate in sales meetings, pipeline reviews, training sessions, and campaign planning.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, objections, competitor activity, and market trends.
- Help improve outreach messages, sales materials, qualification questions, and internal processes.
- Support promotional campaigns, webinars, business events, and referral initiatives.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of the company’s services.
- Communicate risks, delays, or customer concerns promptly.
- Contribute to a professional culture of accountability, transparency, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in inside sales, B2B sales, business development, lead generation, account coordination, customer service, or a related client-facing position.
- Experience conducting outbound telephone and email outreach.
- Confidence communicating with business owners, managers, executives, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to conduct professional discovery and qualification conversations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working for a telecommunications provider, managed service provider, technology reseller, software company, or IT consultancy.
- Familiarity with business internet, fibre connectivity, VoIP, SIP, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and managed networks.
- General knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud services, and remote-work technologies.
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals, service agreements, or order documentation.
- Experience supporting small and midsize business accounts.
- Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling.
- Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, or a comparable CRM.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting tools.
- Understanding of recurring services, subscriptions, renewals, or managed-service contracts.
- College diploma or university degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, information technology, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in French is an asset but is not required.
