Full job description

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate French Pastry Chef with extensive knowledge in lamination and French pastries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of baking techniques, a creative flair for developing new recipes and to manage and inspire a team of bakers. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of baked goods, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and meeting production targets. in compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for baking and a track record of success in a similar role, we would love to hear from you.

*****Please note, this position will not be given to someone who doesn't have a solid understanding of FRENCH PASTRY!!!!

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality viennoiseries.
Develop and test new recipes to expand the bakery's product offerings with manager's approval.
Manage and train a team of bakers, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients..
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of baking equipment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Creative and innovative mindset for developing new recipes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other baking supplies.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in using baking equipment and tools.
Passion for baking and a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
