Part-time, temporary from August 24 2026, to June 25, 2027

Hours of Work:

2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday (may change based on program needs and school schedule)

Compensation:

$22-23 per hour

The Opportunity:

beyond 3:30 is a unique initiative that provides after school programming focused on healthy living and learning opportunities in the arts for middle school children, Monday-Friday in one of the places they trust the most, their local school. It supports priority communities through innovative partnering between a wide variety of local community organizations and corporations. beyond 3:30 is operating in 25 select middle-school locations across the city.

We are looking for a part-time Site Coordinator to join our dynamic passionate program team. The site Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the operation of beyond 3:30 at a school site and act as the immediate supervisor responsible for the program and be accountable to the Program Supervisor.

This is a contract position from Aug 2026 to June 2027, with the possibility of renewal in the next school year. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at the site, with an additional 5 hours of administrative time per week, either on or off-site. The pay rate for this position is $22- $ 23 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the efficient operation of the beyond 3:30 program at one school site

Supervise program staff, volunteers and participants

Demonstrate proactive problem-solving, conflict mediation, and behaviour management skills
Outreach to new program partners, school staff and administrators, and community organizations that can offer program enrichment activities

Adhere to pertinent TDSB and TFSS policies and protocols and ensure all staff and volunteers are aware of, and adhere to, these policies and protocols
Report inappropriate behaviour or incidents that are detrimental to the effective running of beyond 3:30
Assume responsibility for recording participants’ attendance, safe arrival and departure

Submit weekly reports to the Program Supervisor, and attend monthly supervision meetings
Serve as a role model in conduct and character for students in high priority communities
Homework Help & Academic Support
- Plan and implement a variety of homework, tutorial and academic support activities, as well as literacy and leadership clubs. Lead discussion and debate activities
- Work with student placement volunteers to assist students with their homework, projects and special assignments; and with individualized literacy, numeracy and study skills tutorials
- Document activities/curriculum designed to improve study skills

Education, Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Child & Youth Studies – an asset
Demonstrated experience in youth programming; planning and delivery
Demonstrated experience supervising staff and volunteers.
Exceptional skills in facilitation, group dynamics, and effective behavior management techniques with middle school age children
Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Outstanding problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Enthusiastic and culturally competent attitude toward working with youth in priority neighbourhoods
Understanding of school board operations and procedures is an asset
Must have first aid and HIGH FIVE training or are willing to obtain them shortly after being hired.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
