Paid Ads Specialist (Remote, Canada)

Reports To: Digital Marketing Lead
Works Closely With: Marketing Manager and Director of Revenue

Your mission is to improve paid media performance across our ecommerce brands by combining strong paid advertising expertise, a strategic mindset, business judgment, data analysis, and AI-enabled automation.

You will serve as Best Access Doors’ internal paid media expert, with the capability to independently manage the full paid media program across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other approved channels, for our family of websites.

The role is designed to maintain strong in-house ownership and execution capability. You must be able to independently plan, build, launch, optimize, troubleshoot, and report on paid media campaigns without being dependent on an external agency to perform the core functions of the role.

External agency execution may support internal capacity, provide specialized expertise, and strategic recommendations, but it is not intended to replace the role’s hands-on ownership or expertise. Where an agency is engaged, you will direct and oversee its contribution while remaining accountable for paid media strategy, lead generation, execution quality, and performance.

You will independently assess agency strategies, recommendations, campaign changes, budgets, testing plans, and results. You will be expected to ask informed questions, challenge assumptions where appropriate, identify risks and missed opportunities, validate performance data, and ensure agreed actions are completed effectively.

You will report directly to the Digital Marketing Lead and work closely with the Marketing Manager and Director of Revenue on paid media strategy, revenue performance, profitability, lead quality, attribution, budget allocation, and investment decisions.

Performance Growth: Paid media contributes to agreed qualified lead, revenue, profitability, and ROAS targets.

Full Paid Media Ownership: You can independently manage the complete paid media function across our advertising platforms, regardless of whether an external agency is supporting the business.

Strong Agency Oversight: Agency recommendations, campaign changes, budgets, and results are independently evaluated, challenged where necessary, and followed through to completion.

AI-Enabled Optimization: AI agents, APIs, and automation improve the speed, quality, and scalability of campaign analysis, optimization, reporting, and execution while maintaining appropriate human review.

Hands-On Platform Expertise: AI enhances your work but does not replace your platform expertise. You remain fully capable of directly managing and optimizing campaigns without AI assistance.

Actionable Business Insights: Reporting explains what happened, why it happened, what it means for the business, and what should happen next.

True Performance Measurement: Paid media decisions are based on qualified leads, revenue, profitability, and real business outcomes rather than relying only on platform-reported metrics.

Structured Optimization: Budgets, bidding, targeting, creative, feeds, landing pages, and testing plans are guided by performance evidence and business priorities.

Accurate Tracking and Attribution: Campaign, product feed, online and offline conversion, call tracking, and attribution issues are identified, investigated, and followed through to resolution.

Continuous Testing: New strategies, technologies, campaign types, and advertising channels are tested with clear recommendations to scale, optimize, pause, or discontinue.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

4 to 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience with meaningful budget accountability and measurable performance goals.

Advanced hands-on experience with Google Ads across multiple campaign types.

Working experience directly managing Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and YouTube advertising.

Ability to independently plan, build, launch, optimize, troubleshoot, and report on campaigns across paid media platforms.
