Pumpernickel’s is hiring for all positions at our downtown locations!

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated team members to join our growing team in the following positions:

Counter / Cashier
Sandwich Maker
Prep Cook

What We’re Looking For

Ability to follow recipes, food preparation procedures, and company standards
Ability to remain positive and professional under pressure
Previous food service, QSR, cashier, sandwich-making, or kitchen experience is an asset

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain on your feet for several hours at a time
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and withstand higher temperatures
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and perform regular food preparation and cleaning duties

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

Providing friendly and efficient customer service
Taking orders and handling cashier duties accurately
Preparing sandwiches, salads, breakfast items, and other menu items
Following recipes, portion guides, and food preparation standards
Preparing and organizing ingredients
Receiving, labeling, stocking, and storing food items properly
Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
Following all food safety, nutrition, and sanitation guidelines
Working closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Performing other duties as assigned

Must have a valid Canadian work permit.
