Job Overview
The Employee shall be in the position of General Manager at The Victorian Retirement Residence. This is a PT role with flexible hours and includes a bonus. The primary duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
Marketing:
Develop and implement a marketing plan to fill empty beds.
Create and execute a social media marketing plan, including regular posts and obtaining residents' consent for online posting.
Update the company website as needed.
Manage Google AdWords marketing campaigns and track performance.
Establish procedures for contacting potential clients, including follow-up procedures and tracking referral sources.
Tenancy:
Implement move-in procedures for new residents, including completing paperwork and securing deposits.
Ensure that residents are informed about what to expect on move-in day and in the days following.
Recreation:
Survey residents to determine their preferences for recreational activities.
Organize and conduct resident satisfaction surveys.
Implement new activities with the residents' preferences in mind.
Staffing:
Hire/orient/terminate staff according to established policies and procedures
Conduct performance evaluations of staff
Schedule shifts
Assess staffing needs

Work towards transition Assisted Living
Draft and implement other Policy and Procedures as needed.
Facility Maintenance and Repair
Oversee the maintenance and repair of the facility and report any repair and maintenance needs that need to be addressed. Maintain building and equipment in good working order, report items that need attention. Coordinate with appropriate vendor or trades to complete required jobs as needed. Obtain multiple quotes for major repair and maintenance needs and provide feedback to make decision to proceed.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management or supervision with leadership capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, marketing, and sales management
- Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and interpersonal interaction
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and merchandising plans
- Supervising experience in hospitality with team management expertise
- Knowledge of administrative processes such as payroll processing and recordkeeping
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work culture
This role is ideal for a motivated leader passionate about hospiltality operations who thrives on achieving results through team collaboration.
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
