Full job description

Baan Thai is a premium full service restaurant with 4 locations serving the greater Victoria area for 30 plus years. We are customer-centric, social, and fun, and our goal is to showcase the best dishes from Thailand!.

Server Responsibilities:

· Interacting with customers and providing high quality service and a positive dine-in or take-out experience,

· Taking orders, answering guests’ questions and making recommendations based on guests’ dietary requirements or preferences, and upselling whenever possible.

· Issuing bills and handling payments.

· Dealing with customer complaints while remaining calm, positive and respectful at all times, and passing on relevant information to the manager or shift leader as necessary.

Server Requirements: (1-2 years serving experience in a casual restaurant is highly recommended for all applicants)

· We are looking for team players with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Must be positive, energetic, able to remain calm under pressure, and willing to learn.

· Able to handle payments accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.

· Reliability, ability to work cooperatively with all other team members and strong organizational skills are a must, as you will often need to juggle multiple responsibilities at once.

· Willingness to learn Baan Thai menu in-depth in order to provide best possible experience to guests.

· Able to learn and operate POS system.

· Must be adaptable and able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.

· Valid Serving it Right certification.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
