Are you committed to protecting your community? Do you want to prevent theft and create a safer environment? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire Security Officer in Saskatoon, SK (specifically Jansen).

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a rotational schedule. Preference will be given to those who have prior to similar experience working within campsite environments or rotational schedules.

What you will do

Provide security awareness guidance while promoting a positive security culture for residents and operations.
Ensuring the safety and security of residents, contractor personnel, visitors, facilities and property within the area
Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft by conducting mobile or foot patrols and monitoring surveillance systems.
Documenting and reporting any violations
Intervening to provide support during emergencies, employee assistance, and site policy support.
Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, including security searches of vehicles, rooms, and bags.
Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly, including escalating to appropriate channels
Manage and maintain areas when incidents occur to ensure preservation of evidence and integrity of investigations.
Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
Use and maintain any equipment that you may utilize while performing your duties
Providing support as required when security issues arise and when requested.
Frequent foot patrols

The Ideal Candidate

Need to have Security License
Need to have Driving License
First Aid, CPR is an asset
Previous Camp work is an asset
Previous security experience in a mine or remote work site is highly preferred
Strong communication skills with a radio, a phone and both written and spoken English
Strict Drug and Alcohol Policy adherence.
Able to work in all weather conditions.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

You must be able to work 7 days on - 7 days off for this. Are you okay with this?

Do you have reliable transportation to get to the bus pick-up points that will take you to the site? (The bus will take you to the site at no cost, but you need to be able to get to the bus pick-up point.
