Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment and support the culinary excellence of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and standards.
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance in accordance with food safety regulations.
Lead food service activities, including serving guests efficiently and courteously.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils to uphold sanitation standards.
Support staff training and development to foster a collaborative team environment.
Ensure consistent quality in all dishes prepared and served by the team.
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, specials, and operational improvements.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Extensive food handling knowledge with a focus on food safety practices.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership qualities with a passion for culinary arts and service excellence.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

This position is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional eager to grow within a vibrant hospitality setting while showcasing their leadership skills in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
