Full job description

Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Bookkeeper to oversee full-cycle bookkeeping operations and support financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, managing reconciliations, supporting audits, and improving financial processes, while working collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Ensure accurate and timely recording and analysis of financial transactions
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow reports
Monitor cash flow, provide regular reporting, and ensure alignment with budget expectations
Perform and review reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and ledger accounts
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies, providing recommendations for resolution
Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist with budgeting and financial tracking activities
Lead inventory reconciliation processes and ensure accuracy of inventory records
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of best practices
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, as applicable
Assist the Controller or Finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, including full-cycle bookkeeping
Strong experience with QuickBooks (Enterprise preferred)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proven experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits
Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes
