The Site Supervisor plays a critical role in onsite execution leading day-to-day construction activities, coordinating the site, and ensuring every stage of the project runs smoothly from kickoff to completion.
At Alair Homes, successful projects are built on a strong partnership between the Project Manager and Site Supervisor. The Project Manager serves as the overall leader and project strategist, responsible for client communication, budgets, schedules, and project outcomes. The Site Supervisor acts as the trusted partner to the project manager translating the project vision into day-to-day site execution, coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the work is progressing safely and efficiently.
Together, the Project Manager and Site Supervisor operate as one leadership team balancing the big-picture objectives with the details required for successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily site operations for custom homes and renovations
- Work closely with the Project Manager to execute the project plan, schedule, and overall project vision
- Act as the Project Manager's onsite leader and trusted second-in-command
- Coordinate all site activities, including trades, deliveries, inspections, and material management
- Drive projects forward with accountability and enthusiasm from start to finish
- Ensure all work is completed to Alair's quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
- Monitor site progress and proactively communicate opportunities, risks, and challenges to the Project Manager
- Balance detailed execution with big-picture awareness, seeing both the "trees" and the "forest"
- Foster positive relationships with trades, suppliers, clients, and team members
- Support a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Experience
- 5+ years in residential construction and/or custom homes
- Strong leadership and site coordination experience
- Skilled in carpentry and general construction
- Ability to read drawings and understand sequencing
- Detail-oriented, organized, and solutions-focused
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and safety standards
- A team-first mindset and strong communication skills
You understand that great projects are not built by individuals, they are built by teams. You're confident leading a site independently, but you also recognize the importance of working in lockstep with the Project Manager to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
