Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality standards are met, and support the culinary staff in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain high levels of food safety and sanitation.
Support food industry best practices in menu execution, portion control, and presentation.
Lead by example in food preparation and serving, fostering a positive team environment.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Train new team members on food safety, service standards, and kitchen techniques.
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing kitchen teams.
Strong knowledge of restaurant management principles and food safety regulations.
Prior restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food handling procedures, and hospitality standards.
Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and culinary excellence within the food industry. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for outstanding cuisine and guest satisfaction. Pay: $24.00 per hour
