Location: Berwick, Nova Scotia
Department: Nursing
Reports to: Nurse Manager
Shifts: Varied (8s and 12s) | Every 2nd weekend | Based on operational need

Pay Rates

CCANOC: $19.34 – $20.22/hr
CCA: $22.23 – $24.10/hr
Plus: Shift premiums for evenings and weekends
Good News: Wages are expected to increase within the year—with retroactive pay

What You’ll Do

As a Continuing Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in providing person centered, respectful, and dignified care that supports each resident’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Your day-to-day will include:

Assisting residents with daily living activities while promoting independence
Offering comfort, companionship, and emotional support
Observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions
Maintaining a clean, safe, and home-like environment
Collaborating with nurses, families, and other departments
Keeping accurate documentation and updating care plans
Mentoring new staff or CCA students when needed

What We’re Looking For

Graduate of a recognized Continuing Care Assistant program (or equivalent)
A kind, compassionate, and dependable caregiver
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Physically able to meet the demands of the role
Willing to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
