Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional nutritional and dining services within a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure residents’ well-being and satisfaction. Experience in food handling, customer service, and kitchen operations is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive community while developing skills in food safety, sanitation, and patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs
Ensure proper food handling and adherence to food safety standards
Assist with meal setup, delivery, and cleanup to maintain a clean dining environment
Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including cooking and portioning
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation
Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents during meal times
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Support residents with their dining experience, ensuring comfort and satisfaction

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices is highly desirable
Experience with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations is beneficial
Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities
Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents or patients
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
