About the Parts Picker Role:
The Parts Picker will work in a fast-paced environment where you will be working with the parts department and shipping department to aid in pulling parts from inventory for the customer order, assisting in inventory management, delivering parts to the service department, and supporting the shipping department with filling their demands. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this role offers challenges as you’ll have a chance to work with the latest technology, giving you an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience. If you are an independent problem-solver with a passion for the industry, we want you to be a valuable member of the GreatWest Kenworth team.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing pick ticket orders
- Filling retail displays
- Assisting with parts estimates
- Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on the number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements.
- Ensures that orders are accurate.
- Picks and delivers parts to our shop bays
- Stages items correctly for delivery.
- Operates handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed.
- Operating Stand-Up forklift
- Maintain personal and company equipment.
- Communicate with teams (service department, heavy equipment technicians, other parts team members, parts manager, parts director) when managing their job duties and solving problems.
Key Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form
- High School Diploma
- Intermediate MS Office and Computer Skills
- The ability to withstand work-related deadlines and pressures.
- Consistent Punctual Attendance
- Team Player Attitude
- Time Management
- Must be able to sit, kneel, lift, walk, and carry for extended periods.
