Locum Opportunity – Family Physicians - South Okanagan Maternity Centre | Penticton, BC

Looking for meaningful work in a stunning location with a team that truly supports one another? The South Okanagan Maternity Centre (SOMC) is seeking short- and long-term locum family physicians and midwives with an interest in maternity care.

Join a warm, collaborative team of family doctors and midwives who are passionate about providing full-spectrum maternity care — from pre-natal visits to hospital deliveries and postpartum support. SOMC is known for its collegial environment, where providers work together seamlessly to ensure excellent care for mothers and babies across the South Okanagan Similkameen.

Located in Penticton, this opportunity offers more than just great medicine — it’s a lifestyle. Compensation:

Clinic shifts: $1325

24-hour call shifts: $1975

Licensure requirements for Midwife opportunity:

Registered Midwife.

Minimum of 2 years work experience.

Eligible for full licensure with the College of Midwives of BC

Eligible for privileges at Penticton Regional Hospital

Licensure requirements for Family Physician locum opportunity:

Eligible for full licensure with the Canadian College of Family Practitioners

Registered with Canadian Medical Protective Association

Eligible for privileges at Penticton Regional Hospital

Obstetrics experience
