At Terra Breads, we craft high-quality artisan baked goods from scratch using carefully sourced ingredients. Our products are enjoyed in our bakery cafés across Vancouver and by wholesale partners including grocery stores, restaurants, and hotels across Canada.
THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Artisan Baker to join our production baking team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high quality baked goods, enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, and values consistency, teamwork, and growth.
You’ll work alongside a team, producing artisan breads and baked goods while learning our methods, quality standards, and production baking processes. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, and interested in growing with the company over the long term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare, bake, and finish products according to recipes and production schedules
· Maintain consistent product quality and presentation standards
· Monitor products throughout the baking process and make adjustments as needed
· Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently
· Package, label, and inspect products to company standards
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
· Follow inventory, storage, and stock rotation procedures
THE RIGHT FIT
· Previous professional baking experience is required
· Committed to producing high quality products with consistency and attention to detail
· Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt
· Open to learning new techniques, processes, and standards
· Team oriented with strong communication skills
· Reliable with strong work ethic
· Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation (including standing for extended periods, pushing/pulling racks, working in varying temperatures, and lifting up to 20kg)
· First Aid and/or FoodSafe Level 1 are considered assets
