Job Title: Sheet Metal Journeyman

Job Type: F/T Permanent Position

Shift: Monday to Friday – 6:30AM - 3:00PM

Position Overview:

VETS Sheet Metal is looking for a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our growing shop fabrication team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components, including ductwork and custom fittings, based on shop drawings and specifications
Operate fabrication equipment (brakes, shears, rollers, plasma tables) safely and efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to ensure accuracy
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspace
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Collaborate with foremen and team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Qualifications:

Certified Sheet Metal Journeyman with shop fabrication experience.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication equipment.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Must possess or be willing to obtain required safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection, etc.).
Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative service-focused team environment.
