Dick's Lumber & Building Supplies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Door & Hardware Coordinator to join our Doors & Hardware team. This field-based role is responsible for visiting construction sites, taking accurate measurements, coordinating with site personnel, and ensuring projects are ready for production and delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales Representatives, Door Shop, and customers while gaining valuable experience with commercial and residential construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Travel to construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
- Measure door openings, wall conditions, and verify field dimensions using a tape measure and construction drawings.
- Read and interpret floor plans, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
- Meet with site foremen, project managers, and other trades to confirm site conditions, installation requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare detailed door and hardware requirements for each floor or phase of the project to support manufacturing and order processing.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives to coordinate site visits, measurements, project timelines, and customer requirements.
- Identify and help resolve field issues by communicating with customers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure successful project completion.
- Verify that products are suitable for site conditions prior to production and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, measurements, project updates, and customer communications.
- Coordinate with the Door Shop and other internal teams to ensure timely production and delivery of materials.
- Represent Dick's Lumber & Building Supplies professionally while building strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working on construction sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, building materials, doors and hardware, or related industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and take precise field measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, architectural drawings, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of commercial doors, frames, and hardware is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with site foremen, contractors, customers, and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Comfortable working independently and traveling between multiple construction sites throughout the day.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a reliable vehicle required.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
