About the Role
Pangeo Corporation is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Windsor head office. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple cost centers.
You will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and working capital processes while leading initiatives that strengthen internal controls and drive process improvement. The ideal candidate combines solid accounting expertise with analytical thinking, and strong business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger for assigned entities or cost centers.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the preparation of internal financial reports and management analysis.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Review & process vendor invoices, ensuring proper cost centers and GL accounts are assigned.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, assisting with cash flow forecasting.
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment to suppliers.
Intercompany Transactions
- Prepare and record intercompany invoices and settlements in accordance with transfer pricing policies.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly and coordinate with global finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment across entities.
Cash Flow & Funds Management
- Support cash flow forecasting and funding requests for various entities.
- Assist in tracking bank balances, incoming receipts, and outgoing payments.
- Help ensure adequate liquidity and timely fund transfers to meet operational needs.
Audit & Compliance
- Support annual financial audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Respond to auditor inquiries and help implement recommendations or improvements.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Gather and analyze financial data to support variance analysis and management reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, HR, and Procurement teams to ensure proper financial documentation.
- Participate in ad hoc financial analysis, system improvements, or other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of budget management, variance analysis, and multi-entity reporting.
- Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Mandarin is an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
