About us
Galien Rehab Clinic is a small, multidisciplinary rehabilitation practice in downtown Kitchener, serving patients since 2014. Our team includes physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture and psychological counselling under one roof. We are agile, professional and supportive.
We are looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to cover a short-term locum while our current RMT is on vacation, from Monday, August 10 to Monday, August 31, 2026.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday availability is an asset but not required.
You will treat private (extended health care) and motor vehicle accident patients, working alongside our physiotherapist, chiropractor and clinic team.
Duties
- Provide therapeutic massage treatment based on each patient's needs and treatment goals, using techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point therapy
- Assess patients and adjust treatment as they progress
- Offer basic home care and stretching advice to support recovery between visits
- Keep clear, up-to-date treatment records in line with CMTO standards
- Communicate with the rest of the clinic team about shared patients
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional treatment space
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
- Current professional liability insurance
- Available for the full locum period on the days listed above
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compensation is a 70/30 split, with 70% to the therapist.
New graduates are welcome to apply.
