Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and beauty of gardens, lawns, and plantings. Duties
- Planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants to promote healthy growth
- Using hand tools and power tools for planting, trimming, and landscape maintenance tasks
- Mowing lawns, edging beds, and performing general lawn care activities
- Removing weeds, debris, and pests to maintain a clean and healthy environment
- Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal plantings
- Monitoring plant health and identifying issues related to horticulture or pests
- Ensuring all work areas are safe and compliant with safety standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes
- Experience operating power tools including trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and horticulture principles
- Strong gardening skills with an understanding of plant care requirements
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their installation or repair
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful landscapes
- Good physical stamina for manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods
