We are looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to support our welding and fabrication operations. This role combines tool crib/general labour.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTool Crib Duties
- Issue, track, and maintain tools, consumables, and PPE
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
- Inspect tools and arrange repairs/replacements
- Maintain clean, organized storage areas
- Coordinate movement of materials, steel, and fabricated components
- Load/unload trucks and organize yard layout
- Tag, stage, and track incoming/outgoing materials
- Communicate with shop staff, drivers, and supervisors
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts/loader
- Safely move materials within yard and shop
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Qualifications
- Experience in a tool crib, yard, or welding/fabrication shop an asset
- Valid forklift/loader op certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience operating industrial equipment (loader/forklift)
- Basic knowledge of welding tools and steel materials
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
- Strong commitment to safety
