Job Description
Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are currently looking to fill a Production Scheduler role, who would report to the Corporate Production Planner and own the execution layer of production scheduling across Western Archrib’s 3 production facilities. This role translates the corporate-approved master schedule into daily and weekly work orders and floor execution sequencing, and maintains the transactional integrity of production data in TiComm. As well as serving as the plant’s operational data steward and the analytical voice on bottlenecks, attainment, and throughput, it executes against the corporate-approved schedule and provides plant-level capacity, constraint, and operational input upward.
Location: 312 Park Rd, Sturgeon County, AB
Role Responsibilities
- Production scheduling execution, translate the corporate-approved master scheduling into daily and weekly work orders in TiComm across all three facilities.
- Sequence production across lines (grading, fingerjoint, laminating, planer, finishing, framing, CNC) and adjust schedules in response to material delays, equipment downtime, or labour gaps; participate in production huddles.
- Ensure work-order accuracy, schedule integrity, and production data quality in TiComm.
- Master data inputs for routings and standard times (input and maintenance, not configuration).
- Track throughput, OEE, cycle times, capacity utilization, and schedule attainment.
- Identify operational bottlenecks.
- Provide plant-level capacity, constraint, and operational input to the Corporate Production Planner.
- Receive corporate-approved allocation and master schedule; execute against it.
- Escalate capacity overruns or material shortages back to Corporate for reallocation.
Role Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or inventory management.
- ERP platform experience for production planning and scheduling (TiComm or comparable).
- Strong analytical skills; comfort with reporting tools (Power BI, Excel)
- Technical degree or diploma with analytical focus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Active and proficient use of AI applications. Proactive engagement and adoption of new AI tools, approaches and workflows as the technology landscape evolves.
