Full-Time Assistant Manager Position
Approximately 40 hours/week
Compensation: Starting at $22/hour, with wage progression based on performance, proficiency, leadership development, and increased responsibility:
- $24/hour after approximately 6 months based on successful completion of training, demonstrated proficiency, and ability to take on additional responsibilities
- $25/hour after approximately 1 year based on continued growth, leadership contribution, and operational support
About Regen Recovery
Regen Recovery is a wellness and recovery facility focused on helping clients optimize their health, performance, and well-being through advanced recovery services and health assessments.
Our services include sauna and cold plunge, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, compression therapy, DEXA body composition scans, VO2 max testing, and practitioner-led services.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is passionate about health, wellness, and creating exceptional client experiences. This role combines luxury hospitality, wellness education, team support, administrative coordination, and daily operations.
Position Overview
The Assistant Manager plays an important role in supporting the General Manager and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Regen Recovery.
This is a hands-on leadership support role that combines the responsibilities of a Wellness Concierge with additional training, administrative, and operational responsibilities.
Training is provided on all services, including DEXA body composition scans, VO2 max testing, report delivery, recovery modalities, operational procedures, and internal systems.
Schedule & Availability
This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
Candidates must have availability within the following hours:
- Monday–Friday: between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- One weekend day required: between 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Schedules will include a combination of opening, daytime, and evening shifts based on business needs.
Some flexibility in the start date but ideally training would start at the beginning of August with full hours at the end of the month.
The Assistant Manager should have flexibility and reliability to support team operations, assist with coverage needs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Wellness Operations
The Assistant Manager will continue to perform the core responsibilities of the Wellness Concierge role, including:
- Create a welcoming, professional, and personalized experience for every client
- Assist with check-ins, payments, appointments, memberships, and client inquiries
- Communicate with clients through phone, email, social media, and in person
- Provide facility tours and educate clients on Regen Recovery services
- Support membership growth by confidently sharing information about our offerings
- Prepare clients for recovery sessions and explain service benefits
- Facilitate DEXA body composition scans and VO2 max testing following established protocols (training provided)
- Generate, review, and deliver client reports
- Help clients understand key health and performance metrics in a clear and approachable way
Team Support & Training
- Support onboarding and training of new team members using established SOPs and procedures
- Train new staff on daily operations, client experience standards, Regen Recovery services, and provide guidance during team member training
- Support team members with questions and day-to-day operational challenges and help ensure consistency in client experience and service standards
- Provide feedback and observations to the General Manager to support team development
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including assisting with overflow tasks and follow-up items
- Assist with troubleshooting booking system issues and identifying solutions
- Support Jane App management, appointment accuracy, and client record organization
- Assist with health insurance direct billing processes, including ICBC and extended health insurers (experience considered an asset)
- Support operational documentation, SOP updates, and process improvements
- Assist with inventory organization, supply tracking, and facility needs
- When the General Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Manager will act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day team support and operational questions.
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager and helps maintain operational consistency but is not solely responsible for overall business decisions, scheduling, payroll, or final operational accountability.
Facility Standards & Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility environment
- Support equipment preparation and client area readiness
- Assist with laundry, restocking, and daily operational tasks
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Ensure SOPs and Regen Recovery standards are consistently followed
Brand Support
- Assist with Instagram and social media content creation
- Contribute ideas to improve client engagement and brand presence
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about health, wellness, and human performance and enjoys combining client care with leadership and operational support.
They are organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership while working collaboratively with the General Manager and team.
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Previous experience in a leadership, senior customer service, healthcare, wellness, fitness, hospitality, or client-focused role
- Experience supporting or training team members
- Experience with Jane App or similar booking platforms
- Experience with health insurance direct billing, ICBC, or extended health claims (asset)
- A background or education in kinesiology, exercise science, nutrition, physiotherapy assistance, athletic therapy, health sciences, biology, or a related field (asset)
- Interest in longevity, recovery, fitness, and evidence-based wellness
- Confidence learning and explaining health metrics and wellness concepts
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- The ability to lead by example and maintain a high standard of professionalism
Experience in a clinic, wellness studio, fitness facility, physiotherapy clinic, performance center, or health-focused environment is considered an asset.
