We are currently looking for a temporary part-time staffing coordinator to join our growing and dynamic team! The ideal candidate must have open availability to work 2 - 4 shifts per week to assist with vacation coverage and backfills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares schedules for full-time, regular and casual part-time staff in accordance with the collective agreements and in collaboration with the Director of Care, Department Manager and or delegate.
- Secures coverage for vacant shifts via call in procedure and order of seniority.
- Prepares and posts approved vacation, and Christmas/New Year schedules.
- Tracks and enters all employee time-off, including vacation, statutory holiday, LOA as well as sick time/absenteeism. Obtain daily staff requests and fill them efficiently.
- Ensures that all information related to new hires, terminations, and transfers, is communicated to the individual’s immediate supervisor and is recorded appropriately using a staff requisition and forwarded to the payroll department.
- Completes time cards using Staff Scheduled Care system and prepares payroll for all assigned staff.
- Maintains the budgeted daily staffing pattern by appropriately replacing absent staff.
- Monitors overtime accumulation and attendance of employees
- Communicates regularly with Departmental Managers to ensure that information regarding staffing is shared appropriately
- Adheres to the Collective Agreement(s) in all areas of staffing, scheduling, and payroll.
- Maintains confidentiality in ALL aspects of the job.
- Assists in developing and implementing standards and policies related to staffing.
- Booking staff for education sessions when required.
- Assists in scheduling modified workers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Collective Agreements is an asset
- Knowledge and previous experience in typing, filing, or staffing, an asset
- Knowledge and experience with Excel is require
- Experience in health care setting is preferred
- Experience using Staff Scheduled Care software is an asset
- Excellent telephone manner
