Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Technician and Landscapers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and a strong understanding of lawn care practices. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the appearance of residential and commercial properties through effective lawn care techniques. The Lawn Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.Must have experience with commercial zero turn movers and towing trailers for this position testing will take place this jod is through out niagara region so must have knowledge of region is necessary and be able to work independently and manage time.Landscapers need comin practices in flower bed and tree and shrub maintence and some knowlege of other areas eg, sod work mulching ect
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing debris from lawns and walkways.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to maintain lawns and gardens.
- Dig, build, and maintain garden beds, ensuring proper irrigation systems are in place for optimal plant health.
- Monitor the health of plants, trees, and lawns, applying fertilizers or pesticides as needed in accordance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the installation of new landscaping features such as sod, plants, and decorative elements.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs to ensure optimal functioning.
- Communicate with clients regarding their landscaping needs and provide recommendations for improvements.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and shears.
- Experience with power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to dig, build, and maintain various landscape features while ensuring proper irrigation practices are followed.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
