Job description (Part-Time and/or Full Time)
Medika North Inc. is currently looking for an Accounts Receivable personnel as part of our Finance Team. This position is set in our Corporate Office located in Fort McMurray, AB.
The position is responsible for general accounting duties such as Accounts Receivable and some Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Collections, and other Finance-related administration. This position requires a strong team player with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
· Prepare invoices to our valuable customers
· Accounts Receivable – billing and collections
· Accounts Payable (Secondary)
· Reviewing and processing expense reports.
· Comply with corporate financial reporting requirements
· Develop and maintain complete and accurate filing system to support financial records
Requirements:
· AR/AP Accounting certification required
· 2-3 years of general accounting experience; industrial construction/project reporting experience preferred
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
· Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Candidates with previous experience in Sage 50
· Strong proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
· Ability to demonstrate a high standard of ethics at all times
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Other:
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
- Effective negotiation skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for communicating with clients
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general accounting principles
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in financial services or related fields is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Pay: $21.50-$26.80 per hour
