we are looking for a Wood Cabinet Assembler to join our Team!
Responsibilities:
- Able to operate hand/power tools (drills, pneumatic guns, wrapping machines, etc.) and pump trucks
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem-solving in daily work
- Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
- Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
- Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
- Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or fast paced setting
- Material Handling of small and mid sized items
