Bee-Clean is actively seeking experienced Cleaners to join our team at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). This position plays a vital leadership role in ensuring exceptional service standards, maintaining safety compliance, and supporting janitorial staff in daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory capabilities, communication skills, and a working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, mirrors, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain safe and clean walking surfaces.
- Wipe down counters, tables, seating areas, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
- Clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to maintain a clear and welcoming environment.
- Follow all airport safety protocols and use PPE as required.
- Assist with minor ad hoc cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
General Support Duties
- Clean and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
- Support floor care (e.g., mat replacement, spot floor buffing) when assigned
- Transport cleaning supplies and equipment between terminals
- Respond to urgent or unscheduled cleaning requests promptly
Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all site-specific and company-wide safety protocols
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Participate in regular toolbox meetings and safety briefings
- Report any hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately
Working Conditions
- Required to pass a background check for airport clearance.
- Required to apply and be eligible for a RAIC and gain full clearance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs
- Previous experience in general cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy physical tasks that will include operating machinery, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning products.
