Social Media & Local Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time/Freelance)
Position Overview
We are looking for someone who can develop and execute a social media strategy focused on attracting local customers, promoting seasonal offerings, creating engaging content, and helping grow our brand within the community.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with proven experience marketing local retail, restaurant, café, dessert, or hospitality businesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Create a content calendar and posting schedule
- Produce engaging photo, video, and written content
- Promote seasonal products, special events, and limited-time offers
- Design campaigns specifically aimed at increasing fall and winter traffic
- Engage with customers through comments and messages
- Manage and optimize paid social media advertising when appropriate
- Track and report on performance metrics
- Identify opportunities for partnerships with local schools, sports teams, community groups, and businesses
- Help develop loyalty, referral, and customer retention campaigns
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing social media for local businesses
- Demonstrated results increasing engagement, followers, and customer traffic
- Strong photography, video, and content creation skills
- Experience with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising
- Understanding of local marketing strategies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and bring creative ideas
