Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Apprentice Auto Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity to develop advanced mechanical skills and gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle issues using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use welding and assembly skills to support repair projects when necessary
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and when working with heavy machinery or equipment
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to accurately execute repairs
- Support the team in vehicle inspections, part replacements, and troubleshooting complex mechanical problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Skills
- Dealership experience or previous mechanic experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive systems and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment for repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by various repair tasks
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for different vehicle components
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly in a fast-paced environment
