As a leader in the industry of roof and floor trusses, Gang-Nail Trusses is looking for an Engineering Graduate to join our Commercial and Farm Design Estimating team.
Our team of experienced designers and engineers work together using the most up to date industry software and help our customers with all there projects from the most simple to the most advanced that can be built. Responsibilities:
· Reading and interpreting architectural and structural blueprints
· Producing roof and floor truss placement plans following National Building Code of Canada
· Creating whole house 3D models using the Mitek Sapphire Structure BIM program
· Engineering roof and floor trusses and producing digital shop drawings for production
· Generating estimates for farm and commercial projects and sending to customers
· Collaborating with co-workers to provide the best possible engineered designs
· Working closely with customers, lumber yards and/or contractors to meet or exceed expectations
Qualifications:
· Degree in Applicable Engineering Program
· Strong math skills including architectural units, fractions, and basic geometry
· Strong computer skills required
