About the Role
We are an established supplier and manufacturer specializing in custom stairs, glass railings, and architectural hardware. We are looking for a enthusiastic, detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on, entry-level position perfect for a recent graduate eager to develop a career in project management. You will start on the front lines—visiting job sites, taking precise field measurements, tracking production and installation schedules, and drafting shop drawings. With structured guidance, you will gradually transition into a Project Manager leading your own projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Measurement & Coordination: Visit residential and commercial job sites to take accurate field measurements and inspect site conditions (e.g., deck/concrete mounting conditions).
- CAD Drafting & Detailing: Produce, modify, and review shop drawings and technical layouts for stair and railing systems using AutoCAD.
- Project Tracking: Monitor fabrication progress, coordinate material deliveries, and track project timelines from design to installation.
- Communication: Serve as a daily point of contact, communicating fluently with internal production teams, site installers, contractors, and clients.
- Career Growth: Learn company products, hardware specifications, and installation methods to prepare for independent project management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Recent graduate in Architectural Technology, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with architectural or structural detailing is a plus).
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with our multicultural team, suppliers, and clients.
- Mobility: Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for site visits (mileage reimbursed).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, quick learner, and physically comfortable visiting active construction/installation sites.
