Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machinery and equipment across multiple industries. Duties
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, transports and trailers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, lubrication, and part replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and assemble machinery components
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Support electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment when applicable
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Learn to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for various machinery systems
Qualifications
- Strong interest in mechanical systems, automotive repair, or industrial equipment maintenance
- Prior experience or familiarity with service environments is a plus
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and schematics preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and industrial maintenance is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with team members or clients
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures effectively
