Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Admin to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations of the front office. This role is essential in maintaining efficient patient flow, managing records, and supporting clinical staff. Candidates with dental office experience and strong office skills will thrive in this position. Prior knowledge of electronic medical records and dental management software is highly desirable.
Duties
- Greet patients and manage the front desk with professionalism and friendliness
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow using Cleardent dental software
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with check-in/check-out procedures, including collecting payments and explaining treatment plans
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Handle correspondence, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and office equipment
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Administrative experience in a dental setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
